PEACE FLAG PROJECT

Making a Difference

The mission of the Rainbow Peace Flag Project is to extend kindness and caring and the flag is meant to be inclusive and encourage peaceful dialogue. Scituate residents Alexa Houghton and Melissa Guzek have been spearheading the Rainbow Peace Flag Project in their town and beyond. The flag was created by the Common Street Center in Natick who worked as a team with a local artist Virginia Fitzgerald to create the symbol. Maggie Sky of Natick is the creator of the Rainbow Peace Flag Project. Thousands of flags have been sent all over the world and local efforts have distributed hundreds of flags within the community and across the country. The flags are free, but donations are always accepted to support the creation and distribution of the flags. Since May, more than $8,000 has been raised by the Peace Project South Shore.  Feel free to email us or message through our Facebook page to find ways you can get your flag!
